Dogmatic Theology

... Coming th Know God Through God's Best Friend

 

Monday's October 5 - November 16

6:30-9:00pm

Location:  St. Monica's Parish Hall

 

This eight week course is based upon a spiritual lesson Fr. James Mallon learned from his dog "Monsi".

This program would make a perfect group faith activity in our Parish.

 

Each Session includes:

​- A meal and time to gather

- Prayer

- 40-50 Minute DVD presentation on an Aspect of the Christian

  Faith

- Small Group Discussion

 

The Eight Sessions Include:

1) I Believe in doG - The Unconditional Love of God

2) You Did Not Choose Me - Coming into Relationship with God

3) The Seven Dogly Sins - Sin, Guilt and Forgiveness

4) Cages and Fences - Surrendering to Christ

5) Yum, Scripture - Eating God's Word

6) The Leash and the Collar - Living Under the Lordship of Christ

7) It's a Dog's Life - The Problem of Suffering

8) Do Dogs Go to Heaven - Morality, Grief and Eternal Life

Lecture Series on

Discerning the Holy Spirit in 

St. Luke's Parables

 

Wednesdays: Nov. 4, 11, 18 and 25,  2015

7:00 - 8:30pm

Location: St. Monica's Parish

 

 

This is a four week reflection and interactive Scripture study on four of the Parables found in the Gospel of St. Luke.

 

Liturgical prayer, contemplation and fellowship in the Holy Spirit will be emphasized in understanding the powerful message presented by St. Luke.
